Holes, that is. The “community holes” are easy to find this morning on Douglas Lake. That’s because every one of them in is covered with clusters of boats. The most popular holes — not surprisingly — are located over the long, tapering points extending into the main lake. That’s a textbook scenario here in postspawn when the bass begin migrating from shallow water. The points offer ambush points when the current is active. It’s not right now, nor has it been all week.
Meanwhile, we’re seeing some very up-close action. At one hole, the boats are close enough to literally hop out of one and into another. We’d like to try that because it could be fun. You know, get some action going.
