We're less than 30 minutes from take-off time. While many of you "up north" scraped the ice off car windshields, we did the same here in south Texas. There's a stiff wind out if the north, and it's shaping up to be a cold, raw day.
Beyond the ice scraping, I got to experience what it's like to be part of a paparazzi escort. As I followed photographer James Overstreet to the ramp, we both got pulled over by a park ranger. He gave us a blue light escort around a very long line of trucks and trailers. Never mind in truth we were driving in the wrong lane. Such is the life of a daring photog I suppose.
