Biffle breakdown/rebound

Tommy Biffle has just redefined the term “home lake advantage.” The most knowledgeable pro angler on Fort Gibson just endured a mechanical breakdown but is already back fishing.

What normally involves a potentially costly circumstance and possible game breaker was resolved in minutes. The trolling motor on Biffle’s borrowed boat malfunctioned. Instead of calling for assistance from a service crew he phoned home, with the permission of B.A.S.S. tournament officials.

Help quickly arrived. Biffle lives on the lake and owns a Polaris dealership nearby. Friends came to his aid and teamwork paid off with a new trolling motor. As previously reported Biffle is using the borrowed boat as a stealthy alternative to fishing from his highly visible wrapped boat.

James Overstreet relayed this news to me, adding that Biffle is uncomfortable with the five spectator boats now following him. That’s understandable since word travels fast, including through this blog. Biffle needs every minute to count and having control over his fishing areas is a key.
