Kyle Austin entered the day in second place with 20-2 and this morning has been slow so far. He currently has two keepers in the box.
Austin has been rotating through a large area that has a mix of brush piles and standing timber, throwing a variety of different baits.
About 10 a.m. yesterday, he had a limit. At 11 a.m., Austin caught a non-keeper and then, three casts later, broke a fish off. After he retied, he did not get another bite in that piece of cover.
The wind is starting to pick up on Sam Rayburn, which has made conditions a little choppy this afternoon. Whether that will affect the bite in a positive way is yet to be seen.
