Salem, Va. – January 19, 2021 – Missile Baits, a soft plastics bass fishing lure company based in Salem, Virginia, is adding Kyle Welcher and Cody Huff to their promotional team. Welcher just completed his first season on the Bassmaster Elite Series and finished 10th in the AOY points to earn a berth into the 2021 Bassmaster Classic. Cody Huff just fished the 2020 Bassmaster Classic by winning the BASS College National Championship and is going to be competing on the BASS Opens and FLW Pro Circuit in 2021.
“This past year I got to know Kyle Welcher and really like the way he is approaching his fishing career. His YouTube channel is growing like crazy and we both work that platform pretty hard. Cody Huff is a guy I watched in the college events just tear it up. I met him at the Classic in Birmingham and love his humble nature. Cody and Kyle are going to be big names in the sport of bass fishing for a long time,” says John Crews, Missile Baits owner and pro bass angler.
Kyle Welcher added, “From fun fishing on a small local river to catching a 10 pounder in my first ever Bassmaster Elite event, I have always had a ton of confidence in Missile Baits soft plastics. I am happy to be able to represent a company I have always chosen to use.”
Cody Huff expanded by saying, “It’s great to work with a company you believe in. It should be a fun year. I am looking forward to every good D Bomb flipping fest!”
Welcher adds to the list of Missile Baits pro anglers on the BASS Elite Series that include Derek Hudnall, Caleb Sumrall, Ed Loughran, Bryan Schmitt, Chad Morgenthaler, Robbie Latuso, and Missile Baits owner, John Crews. Cody Huff will join fellow BASS Opens pros on the Missile Baits team including Andrew Thomasson, Rick Hawkins, Steve Mui, and Jeff Salmon. Missile Baits Pro Staff also includes MFL pros Ish Monroe and Gerald Spohrer. Mike Iaconelli is the signature angler on the Missile Jigs promotional team.
