On Friday, a big snow storm blew through Birmingham, Ala., which is the headquarters city for Bassmaster. By the time it was done, the area had a surprising 5 to 7 inches of the white stuff. What’s an angler to do when it’s too cold and messy to fish? Our esteemed head of publications and communications, Dave Precht, went home and built a snowman all by himself, no kids or grandkids involved. While building it, one of his neighbors walked by and said, “This snow is bringing out the child in all of us.” In a nice touch, this snowman comes equipped with fishing gear. Precht wasn’t able to make it to his favorite lake, but that snowman sure is ready to go.
