BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Mossy Oak, the Official Camo Pattern of B.A.S.S., has signed on as the title sponsor of the organization’s fast-growing high school bass fishing program, B.A.S.S. announced today.
The popular high school fishing series is now known as the Mossy Oak Fishing Bassmaster High School Series presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods.
“At Mossy Oak, it is of the utmost importance to pass on our outdoors traditions of fishing, hunting and taking care of the land,” said Ben Maki, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Mossy Oak. “B.A.S.S. offers so many opportunities for young people to compete in the sport they love. We really wanted to get behind their efforts of supporting future anglers and outdoors enthusiasts. We’re honored to play a role in such a tremendous program.”
Mossy Oak launched its new Elements fishing lifestyle pattern during the annual ICAST fishing tackle trade show in Orlando last summer, when it also became the Official Pattern of B.A.S.S. The Mossy Oaks Elements Agua B.A.S.S. Edition Pattern features the B.A.S.S. logo embedded in the camo design.
“We are excited to partner with Mossy Oak to help introduce this attractive camo pattern for anglers,” said Bruce Akin, B.A.S.S. CEO, “and now we’re especially proud to see the company investing in the next generation of anglers — the Bassmaster High School competitors.
“These young anglers are passionate about our sport, and they are sure to embrace the fishing lifestyle that Mossy Oak Elements patterns represent.”
In addition to the high school title sponsorship, Mossy Oak also has become a supporting sponsor of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series, and it is the presenting sponsor of the Bassmaster Elite at Upper Chesapeake Bay, Maryland.
