The last time California had epic amounts of rain, Jared Lintner made door-to-door house calls around Clear Lake. It wasn’t part of his milk delivery route, but rather part of his plan for local tournament domination.
“The water rose beyond flood stage,” he recalled. “I was throwing a spinnerbait, but the water was up over the stationary docks that I always flip, so I couldn’t skip them. Homeowners opened their garages so that they wouldn’t bust, and I ended up flipping inside the garages on their property. Not boathouses — garages. I caught fish off of tool chests and golf club bags. It was just stupid.”
