What is it?
Possibly the nicest travel sticks made to date, the St. Croix Legend Trek.
What does it do?
It’s a portable travel stick that won’t embarrass you when you piece it together in front of your guide.
How do I use it?
Well, that depends on where you’re going and what you’re fishing for. Going to El Salto in Mexico? Take big jigs. Up north for bruiser smallies? Drop shot and tube, baby. These rods are made to endure the worst saltwater that you can throw at them, so nothing you’ll get into will affect them.
What sets it apart?
It’s based off of St. Croix’s top-of-the-line Legend Elite series, so the Trek has crazy good roots. Slim-profile ferrules reduce weight and add strength while other high-end components include Kigan Master Hand Zero Tangle guides with ultra-hard zirconia rings and titanium frames, as well the wind checks and handle trim pieces. Plus, they come with St. Croix’s 15-year warranty. Choose from eight three-piece spinning and casting rods ranging from 7 to 7 1/2 feet in length, all of which pack down to 32 inches or less. The included rugged carrying case with handle and divided polypropylene liner is short enough to strap to backpacks, fit into a duffle bag, or even hand-carry through TSA checkpoints as a hassle-free carry on.
