WHAT IS IT?
Rapala OG Tiny 4
WHAT SETS IT APART?
This is 2019 Bassmaster Classic champion Ott DeFoe’s latest addition to his self-designed OG (Ott’s Garage) Series — the Tiny 4. The new bait combines the action of a Shad Rap with the virtues of a flat-sided, finesse crankbait with a tight balsa-wood wobble and subtle action. The Tiny 4 measures 2 1/4 inches and weighs 5/16 ounces. It comes armed with No. 5 VMC black-nickel 1X-strong hybrid treble hooks. Available in 19 color patterns, you can mark your calendar to try and find one in early December.
HOW DO I USE IT?
The bait’s profile and design make it ideal for making contact with rock and wood, according to its designer. DeFoe suggests making an occasional pause during the retrieve, giving the rod tip a twitch, to maximize its unique action. The circuit board lip also makes a different sound when striking rock.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:
The OG Tiny 4 features a thin body, flat sides and a lightweight circuit board lip. It moves less water than more aggressive, bigger-profile baits, while offering a sensitive feel of bottom structure. The bait has a nice quiver to it, like the OG Slim 6, for a natural, subtler action. I plan to keep this on the deck when the conditions arise, as you can’t beat the OG series action for pressured fish.
