What sets it apart?
A year after debuting its innovative EDGE family, Plano expands the concept with a huge dose of versatility. Essentially offering a blank palette from which to build customized tackle storage, the Flex uses a proprietary internal divider system that anglers arrange to suit their needs for a particular technique, tackle or trip. The interlocking dividers can be arranged to create an endless array of storage bays with user-defined sizing.
How do I use it?
The EDGE Flex comes in 3600 and 3700 sizes, each with five 4X dividers, six 3X dividers, nine 2X dividers and 18 1X dividers. Each box has Plano’s Rustrictor rust-preventing technology molded into the base, while a Dri-Loc watertight seal and patent-pending, water-absorbing Water Wick desiccant dividers help eliminate moisture. The Flex design also includes a DuraView lid, EDGE’s EZ label system, heavy-duty steel-pin hinges, one-hand latch and a durable ribbed base and lip for easy stacking.

Plano has done a good job of thinking through the angler’s needs and addressing the common headaches and hassles of tackle storage. One of my favorite details is the lid design. Not only is it easy to see exactly what’s in each tray, but the one-handed latch allows you to access the contents when your other hand is occupied. How many times have we held a rod between elbow and ribs, held the line’s tag end and wished we had a third arm to open and close a tackle tray without spilling its contents? Exactly.
