Expanding on its popular WaterWoman style — the company’s first female-focused performance frame — Costa now offers a larger version built to fit more face shapes and sizes. Making its frames from bio-based resin vs. petroleum-based resin, Costa reduces production emissions and minimizes its carbon footprint. The internal hinge allows for continuity of form without the unsightly interruption of functional hardware, while the Hydrolite Accent nose pads and temples improve comfort and prevent slippage.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Color options include shiny blonde crystal, shiny ocean jade, matte black and shiny wahoo; each with corresponding lens color options. Packaged in a sturdy, zippered case with a cleaning cloth, the WaterWoman 2 is available with 580G lightweight glass (superior clarity, scratch resistance) or 580P polycarbonate (lightweight, impact resistance). Prescription lenses are available through a Costa prescription sunglasses dealer. Temple Tip Icons accommodate keepers, so that’s a handy option for those who prefer letting their Costas hang between uses.

My wife’s not one to overstate; she keeps it real. But when she pulled her WaterWoman 2 glasses out of the case, her first reaction was, “Wow, I like this style!” One of her initial observations was the fact that the substantial lens width and height create a handy mirror in which she could check her hair and makeup before stepping off a boat and heading into a waterfront restaurant. That doesn’t come up a lot among my male friends, so I appreciate her pointing that out.
