The OneSource lantern is part of a system that powers your outdoor gear and devices with one interchangeable, rechargeable battery.
What sets it apart?
The OneSource offers up to 1,000 lumens on high for 2 hours and 50 lumens for 100 hours on low. The beam distance is a respectable 40 feet on high and around 13 feet on low, which is still pretty decent. The battery can be recharged from just about anywhere — wall outlets, vehicles, other OneSource batteries or power packs with the USB cord. The charging cord fits neatly in the base of the lantern, and the 4,800 mAh lithium-ion battery will reach full charge in two hours with the quick-charging station, which is not included, or a 2.4-amp USB output source. If there’s only a 1-amp USB output, a full charge will take five hours. The lantern is impact-resistant up to 1 meter and is water-resistant.
How do I use it?
The OneSource lantern is super simple to use and charge. It can be used as a lantern for camping or as a backup for power outages at home. It also has a flashlight feature if you need more of a direct beam, and you can recharge devices with it at the campsite or at home.

Justin’s insight:
The idea behind the OneSource system is “one system, one source, power anywhere,” and it seems to be a good idea. Two small but important features I like a lot are that the battery supports USB charging even while you are powering gear and that the brightness of the light can be customized by a dial to get the ambiance just right. Another cool thing about the lantern is that it has a soft-grip handle for comfort when carrying that also makes for easy hanging of the lantern at the campsite or home when needed. The lifetime LEDs provide a warm, bright light, and the flashlight feature is small but handy and plenty bright enough. Perhaps the best feature, other than just having a good lantern to light the tent or home, is the fact that you can remove the battery pack from the lantern and use it separately to charge your phone, laptop or whatever else.
