Watching Matt Herren fish today has been a lot of fun in part because he's been talking to everyone he meets. Matt has mainly been fishing docks today and, with the weather being nice, sunny with a breeze, lots of folks are hanging around their dock, some playing, some working. Matt talks to all of them. "You got any 7- or 8-pound pets swimming around here?" he said to a gentleman relaxing in his pontoon boat.
"Well if I told you it might be against the rules," said the man. They proceeded to have a chat and exchange names. All the while Matt continued fishing. As solitary as this sport is, I imagine those kinds of interactions relieve a little of the pressure for Matt.
