Laura Ann Butts: Digital Content Editor & Angling Enthusiast

Hello! I’m Laura Ann Butts, thrilled to be stepping into the role of Digital Content Editor with a passion for the great outdoors and a deep-rooted love for bass fishing. My journey with angling began in the halls of Gardendale High School in Birmingham, where I carved my path as the first female Bassmaster All American in 2015. This early achievement was a stepping stone that led me to pursue my dreams further, securing a full-ride bass fishing scholarship at the Savannah College of Art and Design, from which I graduated in 2020.

My professional background is as diverse with experiences that blend my love for angling with my skills in content creation. From an internship with B.A.S.S. and JM Productions to contributing to the success of Tackle Warehouse and Big Bite Baits, each role has been a building block in my career. Before joining the B.A.S.S. team, I led the video department at Xpress Boats in Malvern, Ark., where I honed my craft in storytelling and digital media.

Returning home to Alabama marks not just a geographical shift but a significant moment in my career. Joining the B.A.S.S. team is a full-circle moment for me, combining my professional aspirations with my personal dedication to the sport of bass fishing.

On the weekends, you’ll likely find me on the water, rod in hand, chasing the thrill of the next catch. It’s where I’m at my best, drawing inspiration from the quiet moments and the rush of competition alike.
As I embark on this new chapter with B.A.S.S., I’m excited to bring my experiences, insights, and passion for fishing and content creation to the forefront, crafting stories that inspire, inform, and connect with our community.
